Overview We’re seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) who has a passion for Outpatient care, and is looking to work as part of a dynamic team. With the opportunity to cover five sites in the greater Southington and Newington area and treat specialties including vestibular care, concussion management, sports medicine, neurologic/movement disorders, balance and gait assessment, and orthopedics including post-op, this clinician will report directly to the local area manager. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse orthopedic population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England Position Description The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living. Reporting structure is dependent upon the site in which the staff member is assigned. This role will float to all Physical Medicine office locations on an as needed basis. Qualifications • Current CT Physical Therapy (PT) license required. • BS, MS or DPT in Physical Therapy from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association Program. • Outpatient specific experience highly preferred.
