Long Term Acute Care Nurse RN

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Long Term Acute Care Nurse RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting and hold an active RN license. As part of our LTAC unit, our nurses are responsible for caring for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib who require extended medical care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Caring for 5-6 patients
  • Monitoring and administering medications (orally, subcutaneously, and through an IV)
  • Educating patients and family on surgical processes and how to manage their illness/injury
  • Interpreting and understanding telemetry readings, notifying appropriate medical team members of any irregularities
  • Performing appropriate duties required of a registered nurse at all times
  • Start IV's, draw blood, and see the patient from start to finish

The ideal candidate will have experience with Vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes and be able to read Tele-strips.
