POSITION SUMMARY:

The Intern performs a variety of tasks while developing professional work knowledge and abilities within their field of study. Interns will gain hands-on experience working on jobsites or in the office with exposure to various field career paths including, but not limited to: Field Engineer, Superintendent, Project Manager, and Estimating. Our internship program is designed to build and enhance essential skills creating a seamless transition from academic to professional.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting and supporting the project team with daily project coordination of tasks and trades.
  • Organization and daily clean-up of job sites.
  • Use of computer software program Procore including daily reports of all manpower with descriptions of work.
  • Support the project team with taking daily photographs of progress for reports.
  • Two-week look ahead mini schedules for trades and self-performed work.
  • Punchlist monitoring, review and oversight.
  • Procurement of construction materials.
  • Assist with RFI processing.
  • Assist with shop drawing review.
  • Assist with drawing module organization and coordination.
  • Safety tracking and management.
  • Participation in team meetings.
  • Continued learning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a degree in Construction Management or similar field.
  • Previous relative internship or employment experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to construction software and programs.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between office and jobsite(s).
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is currently not available for this position.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
