FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to oversee student safety and wellbeing while waiting for yellow bus transportation in the morning and while waiting for parent pick up in the afternoon.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Checks students in and out of Magnet Stop Hub daily, both morning and afternoon, recording this information on required documents.
  • Monitor students' safety and wellbeing while waiting for yellow bus transportation.
  • Accurately and completely document each students' name, bus number, arrival time, and departure time for both morning and afternoon session.
  • Communicate issues promptly with superior helping to resolve in a manner that ensures safety and wellbeing of all students.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Must maintain a high-level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students.
  • Ability to maintain proper records and documentation necessary for position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with children, parents, bus drivers, and school staff.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, calm attitude while on the job.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum: Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read, write, and verbally communicate at a level necessary for successful job performance. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Desirable: High school diploma/ GED and experience working with children.
