Location:
Yuma Arizona

Employment Type: Contract, Monday through Friday
Working Hours: 8-hour days (some days may extend past 5 PM); no weekends or holidays.

Overview:
Surgical center in the Yuma AZ area seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our outpatient surgical team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled CRNA looking to work in a collaborative and supportive environment with a focus on patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide anesthesia services for a range of procedures in specialty areas including Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Urology.
  • Administer anesthesia, monitor patients during surgery, and provide post-anesthesia care.
  • Perform and manage nerve blocks as required for various procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using paper charting methods.
  • Respond to emergency situations with advanced life support techniques, including ACLS, BLS, and PALS protocols.
Requirements:
  • Active CRNA certification and Arizona state licensure.
  • Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Competence in performing nerve blocks.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a surgical team.
Additional Information:
  • Credentialing process can be completed within 1 week.
  • Facility features 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room.
  • Daily patient load averages between 3 to 7 cases.
  • This position is needed to cover extra volume and support the existing CRNA team.
  • We do not use an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system; all charting is done on paper.
