MANUFACTURING COORDINATOR

1st Shift

The Manufacturing Coordinator plans and prepares production schedules for the manufacture of Finished Goods and intermediates in the manufacturing plant.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Creates production shop orders as needed.
  • Matches production demand, plant capacity capabilities and raw material availability to develop daily production schedule.
  • Executes all required production planning tasks.
  • Print all necessary labels.
  • Complies with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Provides assistance to the production team as needed.
  • Prepares production reports.
  • Maintains min/max system for Finished Goods to create accurate demand for production.
  • Track the location of all Raw Materials and Finished Goods within the facility.
  • Activate and verify new Inventory Parts
  • Ensures accuracy of Raw Material Inventory
  • Become the point-of-contact for customer service, production and purchasing.
  • Function as a backup for customer service in Clearwater
  • Administer cycle counts of Raw Materials
  • Works with Purchasing to coordinate raw materials and arrival times.
  • Coordinates distribution orders between facilities.
  • Maintains production supply inventories (liners, boxes, drums, pallets, tape, etc.)
  • Initiates shop order processing & management of incoming orders.
  • Generates all pick lists and shop order cards for the ERP system.
  • Initiates the shop order process.
  • Identifies and works with QC/R&D on rework opportunities for all upcoming shop orders.
  • Appropriate sizing of shop orders
  • Coordinates blending and bonding activities will our tolling partners.
  • Maintains up/downtime measures.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Required education level: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience level: One to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment and in the chemical industry.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organization and analytical skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook), ERP system and other office machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and/or hear, stand and/or walk, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects or controls and move from place to place. The employee is regularly required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulders. The employee occasionally must use foot/feet to operate machinery, climb or balance and reach above the shoulders. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100lbs.

Personal Protection Equipment is required during various processes in the production area. Safety shoes, glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms are required in the production area. Respirators and ear plugs may be required when performing certain production activities.
