Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist performs a variety of radiographic procedures.
  • Requires a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
  • Performs tests on in-patients and out-patients, utilizing a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment.
  • Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in radiation safety.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
  • ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)- AART (NM)
  • NMTCB PET Certification preferred
