Custom Maintenance LLC specializes in cleaning and maintaining busy Commercial shopping centers. We are seeking a professional and experienced Lead Sweeper Operator for Harrisburg, PA. Looking to hire immediately. This is a Non-CDL position.

Responsibilities:

  • As a lead this position oversees the sweeper drivers and will report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to supervisor
  • Make sure runs are covered if a drivers calls off by covering the run when possible, adding stops to other drivers in the area or finding another driver to cover the run.
  • Training new drivers
  • Provide training on tablets if a driver needs one on one training.
  • Be on call for any mechanical issues and determine if a mechanic needs to be dispatched, or if truck can be driven back to the shop.
  • Our night shift lead sweeper driver also completes a route which includes cleaning the outdoor areas of commercial shopping centers and buildings at night by operating sweeper trucks, removing dirt, debris and other trash at these properties.
  • Handpick garbage in designated areas
  • Use handheld blower to clean sidewalks, curb lines, loading dock, dumpster areas, etc.
  • Conduct Pre/Post Inspection checklist of vehicle and equipment
  • Report hazards and liabilities to manager
  • Provide report with overall site conditions
  • Empty trash cans as required
  • Porter responsibilities when needed
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid and clean driver's license.
  • Work independently.
  • Required to work a flexible schedule: schedules vary
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in driving/operating sweeper truck and/or machinery preferred
  • Be able to lift 50lbs. and climb in and out of equipment
  • Be able to work in inclement weather
  • Reliable transportation
  • Pass a background check, pre-placement drug screening
