Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary responsibility of the Inventory Clerk is to maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers. The cycle counter will also assist the Warehouse, Production, Planning and the Buyers in locating or verifying FG & Raw materials.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

The Inventory Clerk will timely and safely complete the following responsibilities:

• Daily cycle count of materials based on the "ABC" grouping system which will be monitored by the Operations Manager.

• Perform EOM and EOY physical Inventory counts.

• Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.

• Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring errors. Responsible for answering Warehouse, Production, Planning and the Buyers inquiries in a timely manner.

• Assist all Warehouse Pullers to locate materials.

• Always follow all safety rules and regulations.

• Always maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Any other tasks or projects may be assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications are but not limited to:

• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.

• Able to work in hot or cold temperatures.

• Lift up to 50 pounds.

• Stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, reach overhead, push/pull as needed to perform all job functions.

• Minimum 1 year experience (3 years preferred).

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to work in a team as well as independently.

• Perform different job functions within the organization's warehouse department.

• Basic PC knowledge.

• Must be able to follow procedures, best practices and report unsafe and unprofessional behavior.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Ability to use inventory computer programs to update and compile reports, such as spreadsheets.

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate varying workloads and business needs. Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
