Platinum Technologies currently has an opportunity for a Scrum Master/Business Analyst to support a federal customer by leading Agile ceremonies, managing backlog refinement, and translating business needs into actionable technical requirements. This role will play a dual function; facilitating Agile processes while also conducting business analysis to identify and solve digital business challenges.

This role is REMOTE. Candidate must reside in the United States. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

What you get to do.

• Lead all Agile Scrum ceremonies for the customer, including daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.

• Work closely with the Product Owner to manage and refine the backlog.

• Ensure Agile best practices are followed to promote collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

• Remove blockers and drive the team toward achieving sprint goals.

• Track and report key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.) to stakeholders.

• Identify and analyze digital business challenges, ensuring clear problem statements and achievable solutions.

• Conduct research on problem scope, success criteria, available resources, and potential constraints.

• Develop detailed project plans outlining challenges, background information, success criteria, available resources, timelines, risks, and impacts.

• Collaborate with federal staff and business unit (BU) representatives to gather project requirements using Human-Centered Design (HCD) and other methodologies.

• Translate business needs into technical requirements, including drafting developer ticket requirements.

Required Skills.

• B.S. Degree

• Minimum six (6) years of experience

• Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst in an Agile environment.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and backlog management.

• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and working with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into actionable technical requirements.

• Familiarity with Human-Centered Design (HCD) and other requirements-gathering techniques.

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools.

Preferred Skills.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) or Business Analyst certifications (CBAP, CCBA).

• Experience working with federal government agencies.

• Knowledge of digital transformation and IT modernization projects
