Job Summary and Qualifications
What You Will Do in This Role:
- The role of the OR Tech III is to assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment and supplies.
- The OR Tech III provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
- The OR Tech III understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
- The OR Tech III has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
- When the OR Tech III assists the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during the operative procedure by carrying out tasks including sponging, suctioning, cutting suture, holding retractors and manipulating the endoscopic camera.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire
- Two years prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided. Must be competent to perform as lead in all of the following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn and Vascular Surgery.

We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services. We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU.
