Description

Marketplace Selector

The primary function of this position details includes but is not limited to selecting and palletize orders in an accurate and timely manner. This is a marketplace position responsible for operating an electric jack, or other powered industrial equipment, to select correct products, palletizing product to build customer orders and delivering the product to the marketplace order staging area and/or customer's vehicle safely and efficiently.

Essential Duties Include

• Hand-select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including dry, cooler and freezer.
• Stack products on pallets following proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy product on light products, labels facing out, adhering to food safety principles, etc.)
• Operate an electric pallet jack, or other powered industrial equipment, to transport products.
• Stage order for loading at the Marketplace staging area.
• Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment including, but not limited to, powered industrial equipment and personal protective equipment.
• Perform pre-trip inspections, and safely operate all powered industrial equipment.
• Load orders into customer vehicles
• Clean order staging areas, Marketplace areas, and Marketplace equipment.
• Check customer orders for accuracy.
• Adhere to all safety practices and company policies for food safety principles. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions
• Attending all required company meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Requirements/Education/Training
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements.
• Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating electric pallet jack or forklift preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently will lift, push, or move products that weigh up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Frequently reaches up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack or other powered industrial equipment, retrieving items from lower shelf areas. Constantly stand for long periods of time

Job Knowledge and Skills:

• Must be able to work the assigned schedule.
• Must be able to use, learn to use, all equipment and tools used to perform the job.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully pass a controlled substance screening test.
• Must adhere to all safety practices and company policies.
• Must be able to deliver genuine, quality customer service.
• Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Should have familiarity with working at a register and cash handling.
• Develop a working knowledge of the product.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, a Marketplace Selector will constantly work near powered industrial equipment and experience exposure to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working on concrete flooring. Duties will require working in varying climates. Temperatures range from below zero in the freezers to 95F degrees or above outdoors. The shift's start and end-time may fluctuate with the operation's daily needs.

Schedule: This position may require working 6am-6:30pm, 10+ hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
