We are seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse for our Pre Procedure Services team. If you have a passion for patient care and a drive for excellence, this could be the opportunity for you

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Preferred:
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Per UEXCEL Bylaws, must promote to Charge Nurse III within 3 years of promotion to Charge Nurse.
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

  • Provide top-tier nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Focus on wellness, patient perspectives, and evidence-based practices.
  • Mentor and precept individuals new to the healthcare environment or UCHealth.
  • Embrace new knowledge and adapt within a fast-paced and innovative clinical setting.
  • Ensure safety and quality at the point of care.

Perioperative Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care in Perioperative, PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), or Operating Room settings.
  • Adhere to AORN and ABPANC core curriculum and certification standards as part of evidence-based care models.
  • Participate in competency validation and specialty education guided by Clinical Educators throughout orientation.
