Facility Information
Smyth County Community Hospital, includes a 44-bed acute care hospital, a 109-bed nursing care facility, and a variety of outreach programs. There are more than 50 physicians serving on its active medical staff. The hospital offers surgical services, rehabilitation services, women's services, emergency services, cardio-pulmonary services, most acute care including home health, skilled nursing and long-term care. Other services include a diagnostic sleep center, cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation and an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Smyth County Community Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission.
Community DescriptionMarion offers small town charm, abundant outdoor recreation, and a friendly community. With music, art, theatre, festivals, and low cost of living, it's a great place to call home. Marion is located about a mile off route I-81 in Southwestern Virginia between Wytheville and Abingdon. The town is about 1.5 hours southwest of Roanoke and 2.5 hours north of Charlotte, North Carolina.
