We provide clinical services to include "hands on" direct care at over 800 sites around the world, many of which include inpatient clinical care capabilities.
With 12,000 staff (including 5,200 medical and behavioral health providers) our services include the design, deployment, and operation of healthcare solutions including freestanding surgical facilities in remote and austere environments, telemedicine consultation through a wide range of virtual modalities, referrals to a global network of more than 100,000 vetted providers, and global aeromedical evacuation. Within our portfolio of companies, International SOS Government Medical Services (GMS), headquartered in Houston, Texas provides contracted healthcare support to Government defense and civil agencies and government contractors, including support to military exercises and operations, diplomatic missions, natural disasters, and refugee care.

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Health Data Lead to oversee the management, analysis, and interpretation of health data within our organization. The Health Data Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of health data, as well as extracting valuable insights to inform decision-making and improve healthcare outcomes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a data-driven professional to contribute to the advancement of healthcare delivery and population health management.
Key responsibilities
- Public Health Assessment: Conduct assessments of community health needs, epidemiological trends, and social determinants of health to identify priority areas for intervention and resource allocation.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate public health policies, programs, and interventions to address priority health issues, such as infectious diseases, chronic conditions, and health disparities.
- Disease Surveillance and Control: Monitor and respond to communicable diseases, outbreaks, and public health emergencies. Coordinate disease surveillance activities, conduct investigations, and implement control measures to prevent the spread of disease.
- Health Promotion and Education: Develop and implement health promotion and education campaigns to raise awareness and promote healthy behaviors among community members. Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and media outlets to disseminate health information and resources.
- Community Partnerships: Build and maintain partnerships with local government agencies, healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to leverage resources and coordinate public health efforts. Foster collaboration and engagement to address community health needs effectively.
- Environmental Health: Assess and address environmental health hazards and risks that impact public health, such as air and water quality, food safety, and vector-borne diseases. Implement preventive measures and regulations to protect community health and safety.
- Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and protocols to respond to natural disasters, public health emergencies, and other crises. Coordinate with emergency management agencies and healthcare partners to ensure a coordinated response.
- Data Analysis and Evaluation: Collect, analyze, and interpret health data to evaluate program effectiveness, monitor health trends, and inform decision-making. Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders and policymakers.
- Health Equity and Social Justice: Promote health equity and social justice by addressing health disparities and inequities within the community. Advocate for policies and programs that reduce barriers to healthcare access and address underlying social determinants of health.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification in public health or preventive medicine preferred.
- Experience in public health practice, with demonstrated leadership and expertise in program management, policy development, and community engagement.
- Knowledge of public health principles, epidemiology, health promotion, and disease prevention strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis, epidemiological methods, and statistical software.
