Electro-Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview: The Electro-Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role within our client's organization by designing and developing innovative products and their corresponding manufacturing processes. This position is key to transitioning products from design to large-scale manufacturing, ensuring that all functional, quality, cost, reliability, and safety requirements are met. The engineer will also provide ongoing technical support throughout the product lifecycle and contribute to continuous improvements in product design and manufacturing methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, analyze, and document electromechanical systems to meet functional, quality, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements.
• Support project success by adhering to schedules, budgets, performance, and quality goals.
• Create detailed project documentation, including drawings, engineering files, supplier communications, work instructions, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Identify, debug, and troubleshoot electrical issues during production builds and implement effective solutions.
• Improve existing product designs with cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and review reports and proposals, providing technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
• Design testing methods and procedures to ensure systems' reliability, performance, and safety.
• Enhance manufacturing and assembly methods for electrical products.
• Utilize testing equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.) to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
• Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications in production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.

Skills:

• Proficient in applying principles of mechanics, machine design, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and materials.
• Strong working knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks) for designing electromechanical systems and components.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and see them through to manufacturing completion.
