Radiation Therapist

As a Radiation Therapist, you will assist physicians in treating patients with prescribed doses of ionizing radiation using specialized equipment. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, explaining procedures to patients, positioning patients, administering treatments, and monitoring patients during therapy sessions to ensure their comfort and observe changes in their condition. Additionally, you will be involved in simulating patient treatment according to the plan, constructing custom treatment devices, and participating in various clerical duties required for department functioning.

• Independently perform CT simulations consistently and accurately.
• Conduct daily quality assurance checks and deliver daily treatments with the highest safety standards.
• Participate in making recommendations for supply and equipment utilization and quality improvement.
• Proficiently perform clinical setups and electron cutouts.
• Identify and implement process improvements, measure outcomes, and utilize data to recommend changes.
• Accept responsibility for on-call hours as per policy.
• Ensure timely and accurate computerized documentation on the electronic medical record.
• Seek out opportunities for learning and growth both interpersonally and functionally.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
