Pay starts at $19 per hour with a $2 per hour shift differential. Hours are 6:30pm-4am. 45-50 hour workweeks with overtime after 40 hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - - Ability to use and understand computerized tracking systems, delivery receipts, and production labels to effectively plan truck routes ```{=html} ``` - - Locate product in the facility, and load production on the truck in the reverse order of the route ```{=html} ``` - - Handle product in a manner that will not cause damage to the product or injury to self or others ```{=html} ``` - - Recognize product defects and notify supervisor immediately of any issues ```{=html} ``` - - Ensure truck is on level ground before loading ```{=html} ``` - - When loading items, keep weight of product evenly distributed on the vehicle ```{=html} ``` - - Load product on truck securely enough to move vehicle out of loading bay, and leave room for poles and straps so that truck driver may properly secure load for safe delivery to customer Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job. Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements To be considered for a Truck Loader position, the following conditions must be met: - - Basic computer familiarity ```{=html} ``` - - Read and use a tape measure ```{=html} ``` - - Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency Equipment - - Dolly, crane, glass cups, tape measure, and computer Safety - - Hazards - Exposure to chemicals/fumes, pinch points, exposure to excessive noise, strain/sprain, laceration/puncture, particulate exposure, contusion, temperature extremes, slipping, burns, shock, loss of limbs ```{=html} ``` - - Controls - Personal protective equipment, safety training, written procedures ```{=html} ``` - - Safety Equipment Hard Hats, back belt, safety glasses, steel toe shoes/boots, cut resistant gloves, cut resistant outerwear Work Environment - - Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to ```{=html} ``` - - The plant facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, ). ```{=html} ``` - - Chemicals, dust, pollen and other typical airborne particulate matter are present within the atmosphere of the production f loor and may create some odors in the plant.
