Basic Functions (or Position Summary): - As the first-line IT Support, you will be employee-oriented in order to provide prompt service to Systemair employees on-site (working remotely not possible). You will also be responsible to configure new computers using the pre-established parameters set by the IT manager and the IT Tech Group.
- The IT Support Technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serving as the first point of contact for all Systemair employees seeking technical assistance over the phone, email or in person.
- Providing technical support via Systemair's IT Ticket System, and responding within a timely manner.
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications to pre-established parameters.
- Assist employees by diagnosing, troubleshooting and solving hardware & software issues.
- Assist in occasional production software upgrade projects.
*This position requires regular on-time attendance as outlined by Human Resources or your supervisor(s). The position also requires the ability to work independently or in a team setting. You will be expected to accept direction from your supervisor, management and subordinate personnel and to work amicably and productively with co-workers.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Education and Experience:
- Certificate in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge with a variety of software and applications.
- Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
- the ability to think logically, diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
- Attention to detail.
