Stable Hand

Stable Hand assists in taking care of horses and the horse boarding facility. Stable Hands answer to the team Lead Stable Hand or the Manager.
Job Duties include by are not limited to:
- Feeding horses hay, grain, and supplements
- Loading the hay wagon
- Put on and remove fly masks, sheets etc. depending on weather
- Turn horses out/ Bring horses in
- Muck stalls and dump manure in the tractor bucket
- Bed stalls
- Clean automatic waterers
- Assist with facility maintenance when asked by the Manager
- Follow chore checklists provided by the Manager (AM - PM and Weekly Chores)
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous horse care & safety knowledge
- Knowledge & ability to drive a UTV and tractor or a willingness to learn
- Ability for physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a team setting and independently
- Must be responsible
- Have own transportation
- Work in different outdoor weather conditions
- Integrity
- Attention to detail
- Patience
- Willingness to learn and expand knowledge
- Ability to take direction
- Represent the Ranch professionally
- Weekdays, some weekend days, and some holidays. Schedule can also be flexible. This is a part-time job, but full-time could be considered for the right person.
- Hourly compensation
- Every other pay period bonus plan
- Over-time with pre-approval
