Job Description:

The IT Professional shall be responsible for supporting and assisting local site Network and IT Support Professionals. In addition, the IT professional will assist with basic help desk service requests. The IT Professional effectively assists their site Network and IT Support Professional with basic technical issues, e.g. device drivers, printer connectivity, WIFI and network connectivity problems. The IT Professional will utilize the ISANA Academies Information Technology Help Desk ticketing system to manage and prioritize technology tasks. The IT Professional shall be responsible for assisting ISANA Academies staff, teachers, and students with basic usability of system hardware and software. Other responsibilities include assisting with workstation/laptop setup, diagnosing, troubleshooting, as well as assisting with network peripheral setup and configuration. The IT Professional makes use of entry level computing technologies which include but are not limited to the following: TCP/IP, device drivers, document cameras, projectors, Microsoft Office applications, Chromebooks, Internet best practices, asset tagging, data entry, Android and IOS devices, and WIFI connectivity.

Physical and Environmental Elements

  • This position may include long periods of sitting or standing in an environment with moderate noise levels, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. This position is frequently required to stand, sit or walk, use hands and fingers and reach with arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read printed materials and a computer screen with ability to adjust focus.
  • Communication skills required by this job include the ability to hear and speak.
  • Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment.
  • The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries items that typically weigh less than 20 pounds.
  • The position requires the ability to occasionally travel by car inside and outside of the Los Angeles area.
  • May have occasional exposure to irate parents, staff, and public and private representatives.
Job Requirements
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor along with a strong customer service ethic
  • Assist with entry level hardware/software installation, configuration, and end user support
  • Entry level diagnosing and troubleshooting, e.g. printing, frozen or locked workstations, Internet access, etc.
  • Help desk ticketing software
  • Basic hardware maintenance
  • Inventory and asset tracking
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Must be able to work general supervision while demonstrating entry level problem solving and critical reasoning skills. Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to end user needs coupled with professionalism and exceptional customer service is a high priority.

Qualifications

The IT Professional is an entry level position; however, a college student actively pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
