In thispositionwe are looking for an experienced veterinary technician to become part of our innovative veterinary clinicwhichopened in2019at the Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical High School (Essex Tech). Located at the Essex Tech Danvers complex, this clinicis part of the veterinary assistant program at Essex Tech. This program for Essex Tech students offers a rigorous academic curriculum combined with experiential training in the newly built, on-site veterinary clinic managed by Angell clinicians.

Responsibilities of this position also includes booking appointments, conveying detailed information to clients regarding patient status, doctors’ reports, updates, and instructions, and providing general information about the Angell at Essex program to clients and the general public. Participation in reception and appointment booking as well as readiness to perform the duties of an experienced technician when necessary. To excel in this position, applicants should have excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal), sustained attention to detail, independent problem solving skills, the ability to convey empathy for our clients and animals in our care, and willingness to be a team player.

We have a $2,000 sign on bonus for new hire Certified Vet Technicians. In addition we offer full time hours (40 per week) and additional pay for overtime worked, competitive pay, a full benefits package and employee discounts for pet health care. MSPCA/Angell has created this Essex veterinary clinic as part of a teaching program in veterinary assisting at Essex Technical and in addition to provide veterinary care for low income pet owners.
