As a staff accountant at NLA, you are responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions for our clients. You will work closely with the CFO on the engagement to deliver the highest quality of service to our clients. That may include entering transaction data from banks and credit cards, entering AP invoices, managing accounts receivable, reconciling accounts, and drafting financial statements.

How You’ll Contribute:

Reconcile/maintain/input data from various bank accounts and credit cards.

Enter POs and AP invoices

Manage subcontractor agreements and supporting documents

Prepare and file sales tax returns

Assist with month-end close process

Prepare and post journal entries

Balance sheet reconciliations

Prepare monthly financial statements

Assist with audits as needed

Assist with year-end close process

Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

1-2 years of accounting experience, required

Construction accounting experience is a plus

Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in Excel/GSuite

Ability to interact with clients

High school diploma required
