Ready to join in? We are looking for a part-time Physician Assistant to join a busy pain management practice. We are searching for a person who is excited to provide unparalleled customer service in an outpatient clinical setting and who is eager to work with a growing team. Experience in pain management is a bonus. This position will split its time between our clinics in Naperville, IL and Joliet, IL, as well as 2-4 hours of telehealth weekly. Willingness to travel to Oak Brook, IL is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Close collaboration with existing team.
  • Assist the physician in clinic.
  • Assess patient health status including state of wellness and compliance with care plan and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Utilize practice technology including, but not limited to, electronic health record, dictation, and outcomes tools to their full capability to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Responsible for providing medical care as delegated by physician.
  • Educate patients and families as appropriate and provides continuity of care.
  • Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
  • Travel with Physician as required.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS, MS preferred; graduate of AMA accredited PA program.
  • Current Illinois state PA license or willingly to apply.
  • Certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Current CPR Certification.
