  • Department: R1 Radiology
  • Shift Timings: 07:00-19:30 Hours (Shift: Every Mon/Tues & every other Sat/Suday)
  • Per week: 36 Hours
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform x-ray exams for IP, ER and OR service linesPreparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
  • Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
  • Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
  • Perform x-ray exams for IP, ER and OR service lines
Minimum Qualifications
  • Duties at MMC include ER, OR, inpatient, and portables support. Equipment includes Siemens, Fuji portables, and GE OEC c-arms.
  • On-call: 2-3 days/month
  • Weekends: Every other Sat/Sun
  • Holidays: Depends on how schedule falls
  • Require Certs: ARRT Registry
  • Preferred Certs: BLS
  • EMR System: Cerner
  • Scrubs: Caribbean Blue
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Radiology Technologist experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
  • Active unencumbered Radiology Tech Michigan state license
  • One year of Epic experience
