An Advanced Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer job is available with our client in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role you will support successful implementation of a PaaS in the Cloud through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor"s Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required.

***Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time***

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Develop, evolve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines: Automating integration and deployment processes to ensure smooth and frequent releases by project teams (ie. GitLab CI).
*Infrastructure management: Automating and managing the infrastructure provisioning and configuration to support scalability and reliability (ie. Terraform, Ansible).
*Ensuring security integration: Implementing security automated measures at every stage of the software development lifecycle to prevent vulnerabilities.
*Collaboration: Working closely with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility.
*Scripting and coding: Writing scripts and code to automate processes and integrate various systems and tools (ie. Python, Terraform, Ansible).
*Continuous improvement: Continuously looking for ways to improve processes, tooling, and the overall system performance and security.
*Driving cloud solutions to realize benefits: Leverage cloud (ie. AWS/Azure GovCloud) for increased workflow efficiencies and realized scalable virtualized test environments. (ie. digital twins).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelor"s Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
*Experience working with, or are familiar with the differences between, public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and mixed cloud environments.
*Container technologies such as Docker, or Kubernetes.
*Deployment of continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef.
*Experience maintaining production-grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services) using automation.
*Creation of pipelines, Ansible Playbooks, and/or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from resource creation to service configuration.
*Effective communication and attention to detail.
*IT security practices including encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, or security hardening, and auditing.
*Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIO.
*Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure.
*Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift.
*Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer.
*Open source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (such as RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch).
*Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX)/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms).
