Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be part of the Development Department supporting the Frontend Team. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a passion for technology, and a desire to work in a collaborative environment.

Job Title: Senior Frontend Engineer

Location: Durham, NC

Pay Range: Up to $117/hr

What's the Job?

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web applications using React and Next.js.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver efficient, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

  • Utilize the Vitest framework to write, automate, and maintain unit and integration tests for React components.

  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

  • Ensure application responsiveness, security, and maintainability.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (including computational, numerate or life sciences), or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in React.js: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in developing complex web applications using React.

  • Next.js expertise: Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) using Next.js.

  • Vitest Framework: Hands-on experience with Vitest for writing unit, integration, and snapshot tests.

  • Testing Knowledge: Solid understanding of testing practices, with Test-Driven Development (TDD) being a strong plus.
