Headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN, WaterFurnace designs and manufactures ultra-efficient, renewable-energy comfort products that provide heating, cooling and potable hot water solutions for use in both homes and commercial buildings. We employ more than 315 people in R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales roles across the US and Canada. For almost four decades, our Geothermal Heat Pumps, Water Source Heat Pumps, and Heat Recovery Chillers have been reducing energy usage consumption and increasing comfort in buildings around the world.

Shift: 1st - Hours Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Overtime as needed.

Duties:

  • Operate Lab Environmental Controlled Test Rooms.
  • Run various development tests, production audit testing in accordance to AHRI/ISO, EN, UL, ASHRAE standards and WaterFurnace work instructions. Test reports and summary documentation as well as maintaining a project journal (notes) daily. Observations of unit test sample performance and providing feedback to Product Engineers and Lab Manager on a timely basis. Adherence to Lab Schedule and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Lab calibrations and maintenance.
  • Assist with floor testing (warranty area) and field testing as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Education Requirements: HS Diploma required, AS in HVACR, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience Requirements: At least four (1) years of experience in HVACR. EPA-608 Certification Type 2 required or the ability to successfully acquire, Universal preferred. Desired experience in brazing, soldering, welding, fabrication, and assembly. Able to read blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems desired.
  • Computer aptitude and experience with Microsoft applications.
