COMPENSATION

At Mariposa, we offer financial stability to reflect our commitment to your professional value and support for your career development. During your CF time period, you will receive a guaranteed salary across 12 months so you dont have to worry about pay over the summer or breaks.

CF-SLP Salary: 80,000 Hybrid or School Position

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?

Our Clinical Fellowship Cohort Program offers a few position types to give you the depth of experience to develop strong skill sets and feel confident as a therapist.

1. School Position
  • Develop knowledge and skills in an educational setting where you'll learn to collaborate with other educators while following a school schedule and enjoying school breaks.
  • Assess, diagnose, and create individualized education plans (IEP) for children with various communication disabilities such as expressive/receptive language, social-pragmatics, articulation/phonology, social communication, fluency, cognitive disabilities, Autism and more.
  • We have long-term relationships with public district & charter schools K-12 throughout the entire Phoenix-Metro Valley.
2. Hybrid Pediatric Position
  • Enjoy a variety of settings and tap into different skillsets needed for each clinical experience.
  • A combination of schools, clinic & home settings
  • Develop deep clinical skills where you'll work closely with our collaborative and supportive team of multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure holistic care with our pediatric clients.
  • Strong interest in working with Autistic children using a strengths-based approach.

Mariposa Therapy offers a unique Clinical Fellow Cohort Program that focuses on empowering, supporting and enhancing the fellowship experience. In addition to ASHA guidelines and one-on-one in-person mentoring, we offer a cohort format that allows us to guide and build a trusting and safe collaborative model with peers to build your skills. Mariposa has a designated Director, who guides your skill development throughout your first year. Our team of SLP mentors have expertise in leadership to give effective and supportive feedback and provide you with knowledge to feel successful.

Our clinic is the perfect place to experience a true multi-disciplinary setting where we actively collaborate with training, work side by side, share ideas, group clients and confer about cases and approaches . You will have access to experts in all disciplines (SP & PT & OT) and various specialty areas such as : Autism, Apraxia, Bilingualism, Feeding, Neurodiversity, K-12 Schools, etc. We host regular check-ins that are intentionally aligned with the progression of your fellowship year.

Requirements

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for clients or students with a variety of disabilities to remediate, improve, or alleviate areas of need and increase participation in home, community and school.
  • Use of creative and engaging ideas to increase client's attention and motivation.
  • Assess and regularly re-evaluate client/student progress and revise the plan of care or IEP as necessary.
  • Submit accurate daily, quarterly clinical notes regarding patient or student evaluation and attainment of goals using a web-based documentation system.
  • Monitoring of client or student reactions to treatment or changes in condition, discussing changes with the patient/family/caregiver.education team and reporting changes as necessary.
  • Assisting the caregivers, families, school teams or other personnel in providing continuity of care.
  • Participate and share in the development of the client's total multidisciplinary plan of care.
  • Demonstrate positive rapport with families, caregivers, and staff.
  • Complying with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Salary Description

80,000-85,000 CF Salary
