Summary:
The Urology Inpatient Hospitalist Service is growing at Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) in Valhalla, NY. We are seeking specialty-trained physician assistants (PAs) to join our inpatient nocturnal urology team. In this position, the PAs will work alongside experienced physicians and advanced practice provider (APP) colleagues to medically manage a variety of urological inpatients throughout the course of their hospital stay.
Responsibilities:
Performing medical evaluations, treatment, follow-up and consultations for diverse urological adult traumas and acute care surgical patients. Medically triaging and managing inpatient urological acute matters, as well as standard pathway admissions. Delivering direct patient care as part of a collaborative patient care team. Gaining a working competency of procedures inclusive of, but not limited to, cystoscopy, cystostomy, as well as complicated CBI management. Qualifications/Requirements:
Candidates must be board certified as a physician assistant and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience, although highly motivated new graduates with interest in and abilities in urology or surgery/medicine subspecialties will be considered and encouraged to apply. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. About Us:
