Maternal Fetal Sonographer

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Maternal Fetal Sonographer for an ongoing position in the Oakland area. As part of the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation team, you will perform critical sonography procedures to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of injury or disease. This includes producing clear and accurate images and providing effective communication throughout the process.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
  • ARDMS- American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Upon Hire
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
  • At least two of the following certifications: AB-Abdomen, BR-Breast, FE-Fetal Echocardiography, OB/GYN-Obstetrics & Gynecology, PS-Pediatric Sonography, or RVT-Registered Vascular Technician Upon Hire
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related information systems

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity
  • Work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Accurately diagnose and communicate results
  • Ensure compliance with all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to protect patient safety and privacy
  • Collaborate with peers and healthcare providers to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
