Matrix Metalcraft is an innovative metal fabrication and manufacturing company serving the Defense, Energy, Automotive, and Outdoor Power Equipment Industries. Due to growth and expansion, Matrix has a position for a Quality Inspector for 1st shift (M-Th 7:00 am to 5:30 pm).

Note: This is an entry level position; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
• Reading blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
• Approving or rejecting raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
• Selecting output samples and checking them using appropriate methods
• Using tools such as, calipers and micrometer screw gauges to measure products
• Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team
• Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures
• Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
• Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
• Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and report equipment any that doesn't meet standards to the supervisor
• Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager

Qualifications:
• Must be a detail-oriented, must be able to communicate effectively, and able to prioritize tasks and able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to type. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach and carry objects with hands and arms.
