Locum Tenens: Cardiovascular Surgery APP Opportunity in Eastern Idaho

A medical center in eastern Idaho has an opening for a Cardiovascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.
Opening Details:
- Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
- Duties: Inpatient rounding and surgical assist
- Must be able to harvest veins for surgery and assist in the OR
- Support Staff: Nursing Staff, 1 APP, and 3 Surgeons
- EMR: Meditech
- Must be board-certified
- Paid travel & expenses
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Idaho Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- One year of work experience as Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- One year of Epic experience
- Board Certified
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
- COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
