The Advanced Care Center of Butler is a comfortable and home-like 29-bed skilled nursing center that provides high quality short-term rehabilitation services and comprehensive nursing care to help individuals successfully return to home.
Working in partnership with the Director of Nursing, the Clinical RN Manager directs the activities of the nursing staff. This management includes, but is not limited to, healthcare services, financial security, managing CQI opportunities and regulatory compliance. Responsible for creating a balance between an efficient health care center and a home-like environment. Clinical RN Manager working any shift acts as a manager to all disciplines.
Serves as the Infection Preventionist of the Advanced Care Center of Butler and completes appropriate infection control documentation and reports.
Oversees the components of the facility Wound Care Program, including assessment, planning and interventions for residents with acute or chronic wounds and Provides education and preventative care to residents, families and staff.
Responsible for ensuring completion of assigned staff education, both annually and as needed.
Responsible for submitting necessary reports and retaining all applicable records to comply with the department of health incident reporting system.
Conducts nursing rounds at least twice per individual shift and distributes and receives reports from other nursing staff.
Maintains adequate staffing and schedules personnel as needed.
Assist the Director of Nursing with orienting, administering disciplines, managing and evaluating nursing personnel.
Assumes responsibility of Director of Nursing in their absence.
Participants in nurse manager "on call" rotation for the Nursing departments as needed.
Assists with resident care as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing and must possess a current RN License, in good standing from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
BSN or Bachelor's Degree related to healthcare administration preferred.
A minimum of three years of recent clinical experience required, two years within the long term care setting preferred.
Minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
Current RN license.
Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
