Job Summary:
The NOC Engineer is responsible for conducting regular technology and services alignment assessments against the IT Solutions (ITS) standard for an assigned subset of the IT Solutions customer base. In this role, you will travel to a client's main location on a regular basis and conduct a review of the client's technology. You will proactively ensure that all entitled client devices and services are provisioned, secure, updated, documented, and performing optimally. You will also remediate simple issues while on-site and coordinate with other ITS teams to resolve larger issues and will document your findings, which our Client Strategy team will use to deliver the client's Technology Strategy Roadmap.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Perform standards alignment audits of client environments (remote and on-site)
- Document audit findings in a technology road mapping tool.
- Execute simple technical alignment remediation activities based on audit findings.
- Analyze client LAN and WAN infrastructure to identify technology lifecycle anomalies, faults, performance issues, and inferior configurations.
- Review reactive incident trends to identify improvement opportunities to reduce the volume of reactive incidents.
- Identify risks within clients' IT environments.
- Partner with the Strategic Advisor (SA) to educate clients on the best use and configuration of LAN and WAN infrastructure.
- Create and maintain network diagrams, infrastructure reports, ranked workstation reports, and other strategic materials for quarterly and roadmap meetings.
- Create and maintain technical documentation library for client system configurations.
- Work cross-functionally with other support teams to deliver comprehensive IT solutions.
- Provide project, time, and materials services for on-call after-hours customer support as scheduled.
Technical Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of general systems administration experience
- Windows Server Technologies and administration experience
- Windows Active Directory (group policies, server roles)
- Experience with Office365 administration
- Virtualization: VMWare/Hyper-V
- Network and server security
- VPN technologies and solutions
- Microsoft Azure administration
- Azure Active Directory
- Microsoft 365 Cloud Suite
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent level of experience in related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow a process
- Proven ability to set and manage client expectations
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Collaborative drive and willingness to solve clients' problems as a team
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to document technical environments in a standardized and organized fashion
- Reliable transportation/ability to work at different client locations
- Must be local to Anaheim, CA, for client accessibility
- Ability to work a minimal-load on-call rotation
