This position is primarily responsible for the operations of all plant refrigeration systems and related equipment.

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain all refrigeration equipment's for plant refrigeration systems.
  • Maintain related equipment to refrigeration systems (piping, valves, water conditioners, etc.).
  • Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems and maintain records of repairs, P.M. and operating parameters.
  • Maintain other plant maintenance equipment such as air compressors, boilers and hot water heating systems.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures in the event of ammonia safety related incidences.
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Interface with state and federal government agencies as required.
  • Document as needed for compliance with OSHA and PSM program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • PSM & PHA participation in program tracking and training
  • Ability to read blueprint/diagrams
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have own hand tools.
  • Lift up to 40lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and climbing for 8+ hours a day.
  • Multi-craft/multi-skilled with expertise in electrical, electrical controls, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and fabrication.
  • Working and practical knowledge of plant utility systems is highly desirable, (including boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, compressed air systems).
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have own hand tools.
