Caregiver/ Homemaker

This position is a non-licensed employee of the health care team who assists the client with the tasks of daily living, as outlined in a written care plan established by a Registered Nurse Supervisor and kept in the clients home. They are supervised by a Registered Nurse at the agency and receive scheduling directions from the agency Staffing Coordinator. Preferred Qualifications: 1.A Caregiver/Homemaker must have a minimum of one year of work experience, with verifiable work references 2.Entry level acceptable, must be willing to complete training 3.Must be able to complete this agency employment and certification process. 4.Must be 18 years of age 5.Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position/following directors and accurately report to the RN supervisor any changes in the clients condition 6.Must exhibit mature responsible behavior, and understand the needs for the patients confidentiality 7.Must have reliable/available transportation to and from the assignment Duties: 1.Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: planning and preparing meals according to the specific dietary requirements of the client. 2.Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment through light housekeeping, including changing linen, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen, the bathroom, and laundry, providing other housekeeping tasks indicated in the care plan 3.Providing companionship and stimulation for the client including, reading, walks, and accompanying the client to the doctor and other appointments 4.Grocery shopping as needed 5.Participating in in-service education programs
