Job Description:
The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) oversees access to alcohol and cannabis products in Oregon through education, regulation, and distilled spirits distribution. Our aim is to protect public health and safety while supporting responsible businesses and providing funding for local and state agencies.
The agency is comprised of three major operational programs: the Distilled Spirits Program, the Recreational Marijuana Program, and the Public Safety Program. Revenue generated from these programs helps support state and local government programs.
The Distilled Spirits Program, which oversees the distribution and sale of distilled spirits in the state. The Distilled Spirits division centrally purchases, warehouses, and distributes distilled spirits to Oregon's independently operated liquor stores.
The Recreational Marijuana Program which is exclusively authorized to make recreational marijuana available to consumers and licensed businesses through retail marijuana stores. The program also tracks the growing, transporting, processing, and selling of recreational marijuana products.
The Public Safety Program which licenses and regulates businesses in both the marijuana and alcohol industry. This includes manufacturers, wholesalers, bars, restaurants, grocery, convenience stores and the operation of the recreational marijuana industry in Oregon.
The position is based at our Milwaukie, OR headquarters office. Please note that this office will relocate from Milwaukie to Portland, OR by the end of 2026.

As the Infrastructure Administrator, your duties will include:
- Assisting in coordinating planning, implementation, and maintenance of agency hardware infrastructure
- Serving as another point of contact with DCS (Data Center Services)
- Helping coordinate helpdesk operations as well as server and virtual machine configurations
- Participating in guiding security architecture posture and maintaining auditing compliance
- Providing system administration support for web, report, database, and mobile management and application systems
- Performing system administration tasks: install and configure new server software and virtual machines, etc.
- Managing and maintaining on-premise and cloud-based server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability to include such tasks as software and hardware updates, documentation to include back-ups, and supporting the OLCC distribution center to maintain ability to perform scheduling, inventory management and processing orders
- Diagnosing user problems and questions, addressing the complex problems for systems most critical to the state
Here's what you need to qualify:
Minimum Qualifications
- Five (5) years of information systems experience as a system administrator, network administrator, or similar position
- An associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field AND three (3) years of information systems experience as a system administrator, network administrator, or similar position
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience as a system administrator, network administrator, or similar position
- A minimum 5 years' experience working as a network infrastructure administrator or equivalent education and experience
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and Active Directory.
- Hands-on experience with VMWare
- Proficiency in both Linux and Windows administration
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Certification
- Willingness and availability to participate in an on-call rotation with the team
- Experience managing Cloud Infrastructure including Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 components
- Experience managing and supporting virtual servers, desktops, and other endpoints including installing, upgrading, and patching
- Experience coordinating with other software administrators or developers to determine the effects of network upgrades on system performance
- Experience monitoring network performance and addresses performance problems, recommending solutions to appropriate staff
