  • Department: Surgical Services Peri-Op Program
  • Position Summary:
  • Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients
  • Work in collaboration with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans
  • Assist with special tests and procedures
  • Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel
  • Institute emergency measures as necessary
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records
  • Administer medication and document clinical findings
  • Promote patient safety and environmental conditions in accordance with hospital policies
  • Continually enhance your professional growth and development
  • Encourage patients to participate actively in their own care
  • Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
  • RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • CPR/BLS certification required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Specialty certification (preferred)
  • Heavy Work, must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Chemical and biohazardous materials handling requiring PPE
