Currently, we're hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to work in a school in Gilroy, California. As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist with SHC, you'll be supported by our Schools Center of Excellence, a dedicated team of recruiters and employment professionals that understand schools and your unique needs as an SLP.
Speech-Language Pathologist Contract Details:
- $63-$71 an hour
- 24-25 School year
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- The Speech language and hearing specialist within the school diagnoses communication disorders, designs and conducts therapy for children with these disorders. Serves as a resource person for consultation in these areas. Perform other duties as assigned. The SLP roles are for: elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- Could be working with students who have difficulty swallowing, or students with communication disorders
- SLP will work with students to assess, screen, evaluate, and share results with parents and the school interdisciplinary team
- SLP will develop and implement IEPs for students while reviewing goals and objectives to make recommendations for appropriate care plans
- Will be expected to establish a positive learning environment while providing response to intervention for the needs of each student

Requirements:
- Master's degree in education or equivalent experience with a bachelor's degree
- California SLP License
- Driver's license with own transportation
- TB
- Fingerprint and background clearance
- Annual Behavioral training
- American Heart Association BLS
- School Experience is Preferred but not required
- ASHA Certification
