Look NO further Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist I for Outpatient Adult Occupational Therapy Department. This position will be utilized to assist with regular hours and coverage at multiple locations all within 25 min of each other. The shifts are M-F and may start as early as 7AM and end as late as 7PM. APPLY NOW

Responsible for providing a broad range of occupational therapy services in an interdisciplinary setting, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with the position's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. Ensures and provides development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary manner.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate outpatients primarily with orthopedic/hand diagnosis. Some neurological experience preferred.

  • Design and implement OT plan of care which may include splinting.

  • Provide evidence-based interventions.

  • Document all encounters in the electronic medical record.

  • Complies with departmental policies/practices.

  • Maintains patient safety, provides patient/family/caregiver education.

  • Works cohesively in a team setting.

Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited OT program

Minimum Experience:

  • 3+ years working in an outpatient department with hand experience is strongly preferred. CHT is strongly preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Valid and current NJ License
