Marathon Oil Company is seeking an experienced Data Specialist for the based Houston office to support our Bakken Operations. This is a project-based role, and the successful candidate will be charged with supporting the collection, reporting and analysis of data associated with the project. The candidate will work closely with management, operations, and environmental professionals to support the descriptive analytics of the project.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for implementing KPIs and tools for collecting agency reporting requirements and analysis of environmental data for approximately 190 upstream oil & gas production facilities
• Develop and maintain a major Spotfire multi dashboard dedicated to the project.
• QA/QC data to promote improvement and be able to request fixes at the source level.
• Complete periodic and routine reports internally and externally.
• Works closely with operations and facilities to understand facility design and operating parameters that impact data.
• Works closely with asset environmental team, operations, and engineering for implementation of requirements

Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in a data analyst position, preferably (but not limited) to oil and gas.
• Spotfire (required), Snowflake (desired), Sigma (desired), and SEEQ (desired) experience.
• Proficiency in the Spotfire Expression Language, SQL, and Python (or R) languages.
• Knowledge of Html and CSS at the basic level to maintain the UI/UX of a major Spotfire project.
• Ability to write Data Functions, control actions with buttons, href other dashboards or reports from SEEQ into Spotfire, change columns expressions, and understand data relationships in tabular formats.
• Automation of the data outputs from Spotfire to build reports in Excel using Python or R scripts in any IDE is desirable.
• Understanding of IT resources such as Servers, and Cloud.
• Project management skills such as detail oriented, with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.

Preferred Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree with experience in IT or Data Analytics.
