*HOURS VARY: As far as the hours: elementary school hours will be 7:15 am to 3:45 pm, middle school hours will be 8:30 am to 4:45 pm, and high school hours will be 8 am to 4 pm. This position will float between all schools depending on where we need coverage.*

Ratios: multiple schools through out the South Bend Community School Corporation
Years of experience REQ: 1yr

Skills Required: Diabetic management - carb counting, Triage

First-timers accepted: YES
Weekend REQ: NONE
Certs REQ: BCLS

Is on-call REQ? NO

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? YES
Open to accommodating block schedule? Depends per contract
Locals accepted: (Y/N) What is the local radius rule? No- must live at least 50 miles away from schools

Pending License accepted: Y, must be active prior to start
RTO Restrictions: Considered per contract
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours

Special Requirements: Nurse will need to float between open positions within South Bend Community School Corporation. Will be used to fill open positions within elementary, middle and high schools. Nurse will not be assigned to one particular school throughout the contract.
This position is fill a vacancy at one of the schools in the South Bend Community School Corporation. The nurse is required to triage and care for sick and injured students coming to the school health office, administer medication as ordered by the health care provider, diabetic management (if warranted), G-tube feedings (if warranted), and documentation of all care provided the nurse in SchoolCare.
