Resource Innovations is seeking an Outreach Representative to join our growing team in Evansville, IN. As an Outreach Representative with Resource Innovations, you will be a key contact to contractors, distributors, manufacturers, vendors, service providers, etc., focused on building and strengthening relationships and maximizing participation in utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs.

One part relationship-builder and one part problem-solver, as an Outreach Representative you will be a key contact, working to build relationships and maximize participation in utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. While this role is similar to a technical sales position, it essentially involves promoting a utility-sponsored rebate program to help reduce the cost of energy efficient equipment for area businesses. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts outreach, educates and assists contractors (such as Lighting, HVAC, etc.) so they may effectively participate in and promote CenterPoint Energy’s Commercial & Industrial Incentives Program.
  • Develops, manages and strengthens relationships with contractors.
  • Develops and executes outreach strategies to recruit new contractors and retain current contractors.
  • Delivers sales and program training presentations to provide contractors with an understanding of the value of incentive programs.
  • Helps contractors identify qualifying projects and associated incentives.
  • Supports contractors application completion, submission, and follow up.
  • Answers program inquiries
  • Trains and supports contractors to use new software programs.
  • Support Program Managers in project development, tracking and analysis, and management of efficiency projects.
  • Edit and format program documents and reports for grammar, typographical errors, and professional presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or 2+ years of experience in a related field such as professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, customer service or project management
  • Have a valid U.S. driver’s license, insurance, clean driving record and a personal vehicle to visit contractor and customer sites primarily in Southern Indiana.
  • Able to work remotely during the times you are not out in the field working with contractors and customers.
  • A background in construction, HVAC, mechanical, building controls, utility Demand Side Management (DSM), energy efficiency design, or other building-related experience is preferred.
  • Able to self-manage in a professional environment and take the initiative to get stuff done or try something new
  • Strong proficiency in developing and delivering formal presentations.
