Day to day: Troubleshooting connections between machines, configuration of devices to set up new routes, primarily focusing on potential expansion projects - networking in projects for development environment to product environment, firewall technology, access controls, etc.

Needing: Network engineer familiar with Cisco appliances, switches, static routing, and routing protocols plus experience with basic layer I-III trouble shooting

Must Have:

  • Linux experience with REHL v7.9
  • Software defined networking with VMware
  • Configuring Cisco routers and switches
  • Configuring taclanes or other KG appliances to communicate - troubleshooting circuit for appliances
  • Networking and containers
  • Agile environment - daily meetings and sprint tasks / tickets with Jira and confluence

Nice to have:

  • VMware
  • Linux REHL 7.9

Required:

  • 5+ years' experience of network engineering and administration in routing and switching protocols, to include areas such as TCP/IP, virtual routing, network security, VPN, and encryption technologies
  • Current Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
  • Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, IAT Level II certifications: CCNA and CompTIA Security+

Desired:

  1. 2+ years hands-on experience with network infrastructure monitoring tools such as Nagios, SNMP, or Solar Winds Engineers' Toolset
  2. 1+ years' experience with UCDMO-compliant cross domain security solutions
  3. Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, IAT Level lll certification
