Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Perform critical care and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages
  • Operate respiratory care equipment and perform technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics
  • Demonstrate competency in airway care and assess patients appropriately
  • Communicate regularly with physicians and nurses regarding patient care plans and updates

Experience:

  • Preferred NICU/PEDI hospital experience

Education:

  • Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
