Compensation:
- $136,200 to $157,200 at 24 hours per week, depending on experience and skills

Responsibilities:
In collaboration with Orchid Leadership, Board, Back-end, and Clinical Teams, the Lane County RHC Medical Director will help execute the company's strategy and help develop, implement, and evaluate the medical practice delivery model to support Orchid's vision, mission, and four strategic pillars:

The RHC Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of primary care by the provider teams in Orchid's Lane County clinics. The Medical Director will maintain a primary care clinical practice and panel at one of the Lane County Orchid clinics.
*Please Note that this role will have the option to be primarily based out of our Oakridge or Fern Ridge Clinic*
Medical Director Duties 8 hours/week (for all Lane County clinics):
- Lead by example in creating a psychologically safe, healthy, positive, and collaborative work environment.
- Supervision and chart reviews for all Lane County primary care providers.
- Provide clinical care and patient consultation at all Lane County clinics for a minimum of 4 hours per week.
- Coaching/partnership with clinical leads.
- Support clinical education, chronic disease management, and population health initiatives.
- Cultivating compassion in healthcare leadership.
- Assist with the development, carrying out, and periodic review of clinic policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient workflow and best practices are maintained.
- Participate in monthly, triannual, and annual clinic meetings helping to set clear clinical goals and objectives.
- Participate in monthly, triannual, and annual organizational steering committee meetings.
- Be available to other providers for physician consultation.
- Provide primary care to patients in a professional and personable manner, leading to trust, engagement, and positive health outcomes for patients.
- Comply with all appropriate requirements for clinic quality assurance and certifications.
- Respond to patient lab, imaging, and referral results daily within 24 hours on days scheduled to be in clinic.
- Respond to patient queries and cases daily when scheduled to be in clinic.
- Complete patient charts within three days of providing a visit to a patient.
- Create and maintain thorough patient records containing orders for prescription drugs, referrals, thorough health history, detailed HPI, and other patient related information.
- Maintain Chart Notes comprehensively, with proper management of Problem Lists and Medication Lists, and active involvement in the development and maintenance of Patient Care Plans.
- Adhere to policies in managing patients with Rx for Controlled Substances.
- Maintain Licensure and Certification and follow all necessary measures to maintain and demonstrate competency as dictated by your Licensing Board.

- Participate wholeheartedly with educational initiatives provided at Orchid.
- Ask for help when seeing a patient for clinical issues that are unfamiliar to you or have a high degree of complexity.

- Be willing to embrace innovative clinical models and cooperate with the growth of other team members, specifically working to help in enhancing medical assistant and other clinical team member roles and responsibilities.
- Share work responsibilities as agreed upon by the Provider Team to cover one another when indicated/needed.
- Come to work on time and work with diligence.
- Ask questions and thoroughly communicate with staff to ensure the highest quality of teamwork and care delivery.
- Appropriately report concerns that you observe regarding patient care to ensure consistency from all team members.
- Refrain from discussing personal, political and religious views in the workplace.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited United States medical school.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Oregon prior to beginning employment.
- Completion of a residency and board certification or eligibility in a primary care field (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics.)
- This position will be scheduled to work 0.4 FTE (16 hours each week) providing patient care at the primary practice site, 0.1 FTE providing primary care and consultation at non-primary clinics and 0.1 FTE providing Medical Director administrative work.
- This position will require travel to other Lane County clinics.
- Position includes the flexibility to provide telehealth visits one day per week (off site).
Work Environment:
Team members may be exposed to virus, disease, and infection from patients and specimens in the working environment. Team members may be required to work for extended periods at a computer.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting and supporting patients.
