Qualifications:

Active PA Speech/Language Pathologist Impaired PK-12 certification or School Speech and Language Pathologist specialist certification is required.

Certificate of Clinical Competency preferred (CCC-SLP).

Experience with co-teaching/co-leading speech and language groups with other professionals preferred.

Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive technology a plus.

Candidate must possess the skills to:

- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations for speech and language eligibility in special education.

- Provide instruction in targeted areas (both in pull-out and push-in settings).

- Work in collaboration with other related service staff and para-professionals in the building to support students.

Description:

The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates who possess excellent interpersonal skills, the desire to work with energetic students, and the ability to relate well within the school community. This position will be a Speech/Language Pathologist, Long Term Substitute. SDST is committed to diversity in our workplace and welcomes the opportunity to consider all candidates.

Terms of employment:

Full-time, Long Term Substitute position to be determined in accordance with the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement. Position to begin August 26, 2024 not to extend beyond the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
