Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Job Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years; Med/Tele experience preferred License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of work and residence. If declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as the primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in the home state. For Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: - Med/Surg Telemetry experience- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association Job Description: - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.- Identify expected outcomes for individualized care plans.- Develop strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.- Implement identified plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote health and safety.- Delegate care elements to appropriate healthcare workers within legal or policy parameters.- Evaluate progress toward goals and outcomes.- Practice in a manner congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.- Communicate effectively in all practice areas.- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and key stakeholders in nursing practice.- Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and profession.- Seek knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice.- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.- Contribute to quality nursing practice.- Evaluate own and others' nursing practice following professional standards and regulations.- Use appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe and effective.- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.- Practice ethically.- Promote shared governance and facility decision-making activities to foster positive clinical outcomes.- Participate in developing and nurturing research.
