Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reports to the Pack Ops Warehouse Supervisor and works under the direction of assigned area leadership. Responsible for picking all components for custom packs using the provided work order pick ticket, maintain proper calculation skills to ensure correct number of components, putting away the incoming stock, and maintaining a neat and tidy bulk area. Completes training and maintains forklift certification. In addition is competent in both work areas (assembly, breakdown). Works collaboratively with team members and participates in team huddles and idea generation to support continuous improvement and the quality management system. Understands and acts in accordance with the Custom Pack Operations Quality Policies.

JOB DUTIES:

GENERAL COMPETENCIES:

CORE COMPETENCIES:
  1. JOB KNOWLEDGE:

      1. Proficiency in required computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Timekeeping System (Paycom), and Warehouse Management System (Tecsys Elite WMS) Supply Chain software
      2. Performs WMS system transactions to advance the production workflow
    2. Asssembly: (80%)
      1. Understands purpose of PPE and wears appropriate PPE
      2. Cleans all surfaces daily with alcohol prior to daily productions runs
      3. Stock supplies necessary for production including but not limited to: wraps, towels, labels, pouches, rolling bins
      4. Build all packs utilizing the map provided
      5. Examine all components for quality and safety including but not limited to damage and/or debris
      6. out all items to ensure correct quantities are being placed in the pack for assigned area of the map
      7. Count all items for previous map assignment for quality assurance
      8. Wrap packs according to map
      9. Pouch packs according to map
      10. Maintain adequate productivity
      11. Empty trash receptacles daily and keep area tidy
      12. Perform other related duties, as trained for and assigned
    3. Breakdown: (5%)
      1. Understands purpose of PPE and wears appropriate PPE
      2. Re-locate work order components from staged are to Breakdown area
      3. Remove all components from cardboard
      4. Examine all components for damage and count items to ensure the correct number have been picked
      5. Accurately document all expiration dates and lot numbers as required
      6. Place components on racks according to production schedule and in the order of the map
      7. Remove cardboard and other trash daily and keep area tidy
      8. Perform other related duties, as trained for and assigned
    4. Custodian: (10%)
      1. Clean areas daily, using broom and dust mop
      2. Breakdown all cardboard and discard in cardboard compactor daily
      3. Empty trash receptacles and discard in assigned dumpster daily
      4. Remove debris from work area daily
      5. Wipe down assembly tables with disinfectant daily
      6. Wipe down shelving units with disinfectant daily
      7. Identify and correct safety hazards in the work environment as needed
      8. Assist in keeping shelves orderly by removing empty packaging, and shrink wrap daily
      9. Maintain equipment area daily (e.g. carts, bins, shelves
      10. Perform daily preventative maintenance of equipment but not limited to: pallet jacks, battery charger, bins, mobile carts (shelving units)
      11. Complete work that has been assigned in a timely manner
  2. QUALITY OF WORK:
    1. Maintains high quality performance with fewer than 2 defects per year reaching the customer
  3. ADHERENCE TO COMPANY POLICIES:
    1. Follow all documented LeeSar policy and procedure
    2. Follow all documented LeeSar Pack Operations standard work processes
    3. Demonstrate ability to meet LeeSar attendance policy, being at work, on time every shift

Education

EDUCATION:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent required
  2. Minimum of 1 year of internal experience at Surgical Pack Operations required for internal transfer
  3. 1-2 years previous material handling experience preferred
